Late Night Roundup: Donald Trump — ‘The White ISIS’

Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States was the talk of the late night shows — and not in a good way.

Trevor Noah examined Trump’s actual plan for how this would work: To ask people at the border whether they’re Muslim — really.

The Daily Show correspondent Hasan Minhaj came up with a new theory to explain “what the hell is going on” in this whole situation: “Donald Trump is an extremist leader who came out of nowhere; he’s self-financed; recruits through social media; attracts his followers with a radical ideology to take over the world; and is actively trying to promote a war between Islam and the West.”

Donald Trump is the “White ISIS.”

Over at The Nightly Show, Larry Wilmore and his cast of players just reached their limit with making jokes out of Trump — he’s not funny anymore.

Bernie Sanders appeared with Jimmy Fallon, and said he looked forward to beating Trump: “What somebody like a Trump is trying to do, is to divide us up. A few months ago, we were supposed to hate Mexicans — and he thinks they’re all criminals and rapists. Now we’re supposed to hate Muslims. And that kind of crap is not gonna work on the United States of America.”

Seth Meyers looked at Trump’s policy benchmark for the Muslim ban: “Of course, ‘what the hell is going on?’ is also what many Americans think when they see Donald Trump’s phone numbers.”

Jimmy Kimmel showed off a hot new product: The Donald Trump Snowblower.
